WHY CHOOSE BILZ MACHINE MOUNTING
There are several reasons not to place a machine directly on the floor. One key reason is that a certain distance between the machine bed and the floor helps reduce the entry of contamination. This is particularly important for processing machines, for example, when they are placed in an oil bath or a tray to catch lubricants and coolants. Mounting a machine also simplifies lifting or relocation. By using levelling elements or precision levelling wedges, the machine can be precisely aligned, compensating for any floor irregularities. This is a crucial factor for machines that require high precision, also contributing to extended tool life. BILZ offers all types of leveling solutions, which can be adjusted either in a lifted state or under load. In addition to purely mechanical leveling options, BILZ also provides various pneumatic solutions that automatically readjust to the originally set level after load changes.
BILZ brings decades of experience in developing vibration damping and mounting systems. This expertise enables us to offer highly specialized and effective solutions tailored to the demands and challenges of modern industry.
Our products are characterized by their exceptional quality and durability. The use of advanced materials and the latest technologies ensures that the mounting systems perform optimally under all operating conditions. These innovations lead to improved machine performance and an extended equipment lifespan.
In summary, the combination of technical expertise, individual adaptability, comprehensive customer service, sustainability, and cost efficiency makes BILZ the optimal choice for companies seeking leading solutions in machine mounting.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DIRECT AND INDIRECT VIBRATION ISOLATION
Direct Vibration Isolation
Direct isolation means that vibration isolators are placed directly under the machine, typically at the same points where existing mounting points are located. Direct isolation requires that the machine bed or base frame has sufficient inherent rigidity to prevent distortion due to the elastic mounting. Additionally, the machine’s geometry must allow for an appropriate arrangement of the isolators.
Indirect Vibration Isolation
For machines whose inherent rigidity is not sufficient for direct isolation, a correspondingly rigid intermediate structure must be inserted between the machine and the isolators. Additionally, this approach allows for the application-specific optimization of the isolator positioning. Typically, this is achieved through a concrete block foundation, a steel platform, or a cast plate. In this case, it is referred to as indirect isolation.
